Blue and Brown Hemp Cotehardie and Hood
I made this cotehardie, or cote, and matching hood using all hemp fabric, a period textile. The cote buttons all the way up the front and halfway up the sleeves, and the hood buttons in front. The hose and undergarments were also made by me. I also made the tippets and the belt seen in most of the photos. The belt is velvet with metal pieces sewn on. This style was seen throughout Europe during the late 14th and early 15th centuries.
