Black Sideless Surcote
The sideless surcote is found across medieval Europe. This version is based on styles popular in France and England in the later part of the 14th century. The top is patterned velveteen, and the bottom is a silk/rayon blend. Here, it is worn over a long-sleeved kirtle with a horned veil headdress.
