Saint Lucia – Germanic Renaissance
I love combining historical fashion with fantasy costuming! I’ve adapted 16th century Germanic fashion to create this fantasy Christmas dress. Santa Lucia is a beloved Swedish Christmas tradition honoring light within the darkness at winter solstice. Each year, I honor Lucia in my own costumed way, and this year I am doing that by creating a historically inspired fantasy Lucia dress. I took inspiration from 16th century German fashion to create this super fun costume mashup.
